Let yourself be tempted by delicious dishes and the scent of home-made bread in SMK's café, Kafeteria.
The restaurateur behind Kafeteria is Frederik Bille Brahe. He and chef Jakob Kjær have developed a distinctive cuisine based on principles of simplicity and reasonable prices. They place great emphasis on organically grown quality ingredients and seasonal produce. And with their own bakery on the premises you will always find a large selection of home-made cakes and freshly baked bread.
Kafeteria is located right inside the main entrance of the museum; no ticket is required to visit the café.
In Kafeteria you will find much more than just food. The design of the café came about in collaboration with artist Danh Vo, who is interested in the history that underpins design and art. In the café, you will find GrandOak flooring by Dinesen Floors, Enzo Mari’s ‘do-it-yourself’ furniture and Poul M. Volther’s spindle-backed chair J46. The architect of the café is Stine Friese.
